Kelly McConkie Stewart

KELLY McCONKIE STEWART graduated summa cum laude from the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College in New York (SUNY Purchase). She finished her master’s recital 7 months pregnant and the cello still fit; but just barely. Later as an active musician in the Washington D.C. area Kelly played with the National Opera at the Kennedy Center. Her favorite paystubs EVER are the royalty checks from NPR when the operas she played in were later broadcast on Sunday radio.

Kelly is a dedicated teacher and educator. She LOVES teaching. She runs a full studio in her home in Millcreek and is also part of the Gifted Music School’s faculty in downtown Salt Lake City. Between practicing with her children (her love language) and teaching, she can be found running the trails of Millcreek Canyon with her dog Redd.
