Home Studio
As an active teacher with the Suzuki Association of Utah, Kelly is a certified Suzuki teacher. She is certified in books 1-10, has completed the Suzuiki Principles in Action course and finished training with Carey Beth Hockett in Group Class Techniques. Her Suzuki mentors include: David Evenchick, Beth Goldstein McGee and Pam Davenport.
Additionally she was a guest lecturer and presenter at the 2018 National Suzuki Association of the America’s Convention held in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Kelly loves teaching! She maintains an active studio in her home in East Millcreek and also at the Gifted Music School. She teaches little cellists (age 4 and 5) to love music and nurtures advanced cellists beyond Suzuki literature. She is both encouraging and challenging and has maintained her teaching studio for over 20 years. Her experience as a Suzuki parent gives her additional love and understanding for the process of growing young musicians and giving them a longterm love of music.

A Note About COVID19
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, I have been creative in making a studio space that maintains 10 foot distance and has plenty of circulation - my garage! Yep, it’s as classy as it sounds.
Please walk up the driveway and enter the garage. There is plenty of space, a cool breeze and large panoramic garage door view. I promise the neighbors are not bothered and they seem to enjoy the sounds of cello early in the summer mornings.
I am also teaching on ZOOM. If for any reason you feel ill (or want to stay in pajamas) please opt for a virtual lesson.

Suzuki cello students usually start between ages 4-6.

Fall 2020 Calendar
Need to make a lesson trade? Look here for a copy of the FALL 2020 master lesson schedule to arrange a lesson swap.
Remember, there is no such thing as a make-up lesson. If you miss a lesson, you missed your chance for instruction. Please do all you can to arrange trades. Pay it forward with your cello colleagues when they are in a bind and need a swap.
